Seeing It Differently: Thinking Outside of the Box.
I’ve always been a little different. I can be in the same class, hear the same lecture, and walk away with a completely different understanding than everyone else. For a long time, that frustrated me. I used to wonder why my brain didn’t follow the same straight line everyone else seemed to be on.
But over time, I realized something powerful—thinking differently isn’t wrong; it’s what makes me me. It’s what gives my work depth, originality, and a fresh point of view.
I’m a big-picture designer. While some people focus on the individual pieces, I naturally see how everything connects—the story, the tone, the experience, and the flow. I notice the patterns that others overlook and imagine the possibilities that haven’t been created yet.
For years, I tried to “fit in” and design the way others did. I’d question my instincts, worry that I was overcomplicating things, or feel like I didn’t belong in certain spaces because my mind didn’t operate the same way. But once I stopped fighting it and started embracing it, everything changed.
Now, I see my perspective as my greatest strength. It allows me to solve problems creatively, make connections others might miss, and bring a unique spark to every project. Thinking differently doesn’t mean being difficult—it means being visionary.
The truth is, the world doesn’t move forward because of people who all think the same way. It moves forward because of those who see something others don’t—and dare to create it anyway.
Who said there was a box? True creativity means that the box never existed.
